Red Herring Puppets

Red Herring Puppets have been designing, building, and performing puppets and specialty costumes for more than 30 years spanning film, television, theatre, opera, and special events. Artistic Director, Lisa Sturz is a certified teaching artist and Emmy award winner. Red Herring's SCHOOL and FAMILY shows feature curriculum based "edu-tainment."



Mountain Marionettes

Mountain Marionettes is a full time, professional puppet company, specializing in the Art of the Marionette. Performed by master puppeteer Susan VandeWeghe, Mountain Marionettes productions feature short strung marionettes with the puppeteer in full view of the audience in a fast-paced variety format that will charm children and adults alike.

Pamella O'Connor has been a professional theatre artist for 28 years. She has produced, directed and performed traditional as well as puppet theatre. Puppetry is both her passion and her mission.


Golden Rod Puppets

Born in coastal Connecticut, Ford began working in puppetry in 1976. The Golden Rod Puppets were established in 1980 in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Robin Stevens

Robin Stevens trained at the Cannon Hill Puppet Theatre in Birmingham UK, and then began a 25 year career in children’s Television. He worked for six years for the BBC as a puppeteer and puppet maker before joining the highly successful Children’s Television Production Company, Ragdoll Ltd the company that made Tellytubbies. For twenty years he worked as a Writer/Performer/Director for Ragdoll and won two British Academy awards.

Pete Koschnick

Professor Peter Puppet (Pete Koschnick) has worked as a professional theatrical designer, technician, and puppeteer since 1982. He has toured nationally with Wood and Strings Puppet Theater and Red Herring Puppets. Mr. Koschnick taught Puppetry Arts for Oberlin College in Ohio, and the Allen Memorial Art Museum. He is currently creating new works for The Shaky Hand Puppet Band.
